Getting to Pattaya
By Car
Pattaya is located 147 kilometres from Bangkok and can be reached in a comfortable 2-hour drive along Highway No. 34 (Bang Na-Trat) and Highway No. 3 (Sukhumvit) via Bang Pakong, and Si Racha. One can also avoid a lot of traffic on Bang Na-Trat Highway by opting for Motor Way (new Bangkok-Chon Buri-Pattaya route).

There are limousine services between Bangkok International Airport and Pattaya. Booking in Pattaya may be made by telephoning 0-3842-3140-1

By Bus
Air-conditioned buses regularly leave BangkokÆs two major bus terminals throughout the day. The journey takes about 2.30 hours.

From the Eastern Bus Terminal (Ekkamai) on Sukhumvit Road, buses leave for Pattaya every half an hour from 5 a.m.-11 p.m. One way fare is 90 baht. Tel: 0-2391-9829 or 0-2712-3928 (Rung Ruang Tour).

From the Mochit 2 Bus Terminal on Kamphaeng Phet 2 Road, buses leave for Pattaya every 30 minutes from 4.30 a.m.-8 p.m. One-way fare is 94 baht. Tel: 0-2936-3509 (Rung Ruang Tour).

By Rail
The State Railways of Thailand offers daily train service (non-airconditioned) departing BangkokÆs Hua Lamphong Station at 6.55 a.m. The journey takes about 3.30 hours. The train stops at North Pattaya and South Pattaya. One-way fare is 31 bath. Call 1690 or 0-2223-7010, 0-2223-7020 for more information.

By Air
